18-year-old killed in Richland County crash
LUCAS – An 18-year-old has died after the car he was driving went off Mansfield Lucas Road at Rummel Road in Richland County.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, their preliminary investigation shows the crash occurred Monday evening when a 1998 Ford Mustang, driven by Damon Mauk, of Lucas, was traveling southeast on Mansfield Lucas Road when Mauk lost control, traveled off the right side of the road, and struck a sign and a tree.
Mauk was transported to the Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital by ground ambulance where he passed away from his injuries.
