James Heidl

James A. Heidl, 77, formerly of Sandusky and residing in New London, OH passed away early Saturday morning, November 12, 2022 at Crystal Care Center of Ashland in Ashland, OH following a lengthy illness.

Jim was born on October 14, 1945 in Sandusky, OH to the late Joyce Karl and Irene Margaret (Baaske) Heidl.

Jim was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing and spending time with his family. He retired from General Motors in 2005 after 34 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Linda (Burdo) Heidl of New London, OH; two sons, Dreu (Kristi) Heidl of Huron and CJ Osher of Sandusky; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; one brother, Steven (Peggy) Heidl and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his brother, Danny Heidl

Private family services will be held and conducted at a later date. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory are handling the arrangements for the family.
