Omni Fiber to expand service to Bellevue, Huron and Sandusky

CINCINNATI – Residents in several Erie County communities will soon have a new choice for internet service. Omni Fiber has announced that they plan to expand their service to Bellevue, Huron, and Sandusky.

The Cincinnati-based company previously announced that they will service Clyde, Dover, Shelby, and Tiffin. Construction is nearing completion in Clyde, Dover, and Shelby. Construction is expected to begin in the coming weeks for Huron and Bellevue, while construction in Tiffin and Sandusky expected to start in the coming months.

“Omni Fiber is thrilled to continue the expansion of our network to bring high-speed connectivity to more underserved communities across Ohio,” said Omni Fiber CEO Darrick Zucco. “We have seen a great amount of interest from our initial markets and look forward to providing even more Ohio residents a better choice for Internet service.”

Omni Fiber says they will offer fiber internet with speeds up to 2 Gbps, traditional or streaming television, and phone service.

According to their website, internet plans will start at $55 per month for 500 Mbps and $95 per month 2 Gbps. Phone and television can also be bundled, with the most expensive package costing $150 per month. The plans do not have contracts or data caps and include a 30-day money back guarantee.

Omni Fiber will compete for customers with Erie County’s longtime cable and internet leader Buckeye Broadband, along with Frontier Communications, who is also expanding their fiber internet service.
