James Tapp

James T. “JT” Tapp, 83, of Huron, passed away surrounded by family on October 19, 2022 at Stein Hospice.

JT was born on January 3, 1939 in Ripley, Mississippi to the late George and Ethel (Robertson) Tapp. He worked at Ford Motor Company for over 30 years and was an Army Reserve Veteran. He also was a member of Marks Masonic Lodge #359, Singara Grotto, and Valley of Firelands Scottish Rite. JT enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and loved his dogs Taylor and Katie.

JT is survived by his wife, Glenda (Bennett) Tapp; sons, David Tapp and Monty (Jane) Tapp; sister, Dorothy Hurt; grandchildren, Joshua Tapp, Annabelle Tapp, Ashley Craig, Lindsey Sheppard, and Rachel Maiberger; as well as six great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Billie Cox, Colleen Boyette, and Patricia Hefley; brother, Arnold Tapp; and son, Kent Tapp.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 from 10 AM – 12PM at Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main St., Huron 44839. Burial services will follow the visitation at Scott Union Cemetery, Huron Avery Rd.
