Barbara Kessler

Barbara (LeValley) Kessler, 82, residing in Castalia, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Providence Care Center after a brief illness.

Barbara was born on May 6, 1940 in Sandusky, OH to the late Robert and Helen (Curtis) LeValley.

Barbara retired as a nurse from the former Providence Hospital in 2002 after 40 years of service. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. Barbara was the co-owner of “Gatherings” in Milan for 11 years. She volunteered at the Encore Shop and had delivered Meal on Wheels for several years. She enjoyed going to estate sales and garage sales searching for treasures. Barbara liked to travel; going on several cruises and more recently one day trips to Frankenmuth and Amish Country.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 56 years, Thomas Kessler, whom she married January 8, 1966; sons, Thom Kessler of CO and Jeffrey (Jennifer) Kessler of IL; grandchildren, Kayla, TJ, Kyle, Julia and Jacobee and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her brother, Robert LeValley.

Private graveside services will be conducted in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky. Deacon Jeff Claar will officiate. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisted the family with arrangements.
