Jean Graves

Jean Carol (Trumpower) Graves, 89, residing in Sandusky, passed away Sunday morning, August 28, 2022 at her home following a lengthy illness.

Jean was born on October 14, 1932 in Sandusky, OH to the late Pearl McKinley and Winnetta Eloise (Hertel) Trumpower.

Jean graduated from Sandusky High School in 1950. She had previously worked at the former Philco and eventually retired from Prepared Foods in Sandusky after 31 years of service. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing the guitar, camping, family genealogy, listening to CB radio, and spending time with her family.

Jean is survived by her husband, Donald Graves, whom she married on November 28, 1953. She is also survived by her daughter, Daria (Vincent) Deno of Sandusky; sons, Mark (Mary) Graves of Huron and Gary Graves of Sandusky; four grandchildren, Vincent “Joe”, Gina, Billy and Brittany; four great-grandchildren, Olivia, Ava, Donovan, Genevieve and one on the way; brother, Terry (Karen) Trumpower of Norwalk and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Jean is preceded in death by her sisters, Eloise Pearl Stump, June Bradway and Carol Lair and brothers, Clyde, Richard, William and John David Trumpower.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be held in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
