Kirby Slisher

Kirby Byron Slisher, 65, residing in Sandusky, passed away late Thursday evening, August 18, 2022 at Firelands Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

Kirby was born on June 11, 1957 in Sandusky, OH to the late William Eugene and Betty Ellen (Skiver) Slisher.

Kirby graduated from Huron High School in 1975. He was a Veteran of the US Marine Corps. Kirby retired in 2019 from Dauch Concrete in Norwalk after many years of service driving truck in the concrete industry. Kirby enjoyed boating, bike riding, walking, outdoor activities, four wheeling, fixing and tinkering with anything mechanical and spending time with his family and friends.

Kirby is survived by his wife, Christine J. (Plonski) Slisher, whom he married on April 12, 1990. He is also survived by his sister, Crystal (Jim) Byrd of Sandusky; brothers, Kevin (Elaine) of Huron, Karson of Huron, Kip of Sandusky, Krieg (Chris) of Milan and Kyle of Sandusky and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and other relatives.

Friends may call on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 12:00 pm. Pastor Wally Gilbert will officiate. Entombment will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
