Ruf resigns as Huron’s interim superintendent

HURON – In a email to parents Thursday, Huron Board of Education President Jody Mast announced that John Ruf has resigned as the interim superintendent of Huron City Schools.

According to the email, Ruf’s last day will be Sunday, February 22.

Ruf has served as interim superintendent since July 2021, after Dennis Muratori resigned as superintendent. He is currently also the Assistant Superintendent of Programs and Personnel at the North Point Educational Service Center.

“The Board would like to thank Mr. Ruf for his service to our district since July 2021,” wrote Mast. “We wish him well as he returns to North Point ESC and in all his future endeavors.”

She added, “This will in no way affect the daily operations in the district.”
