Huron Board of Education hires new Huron High School vice principal

HURON – The Huron Board of Education voted at their Tuesday meeting to hire a new vice principal for Huron High School.

The district did not have to go far to find their hire. He is current Huron High School math teacher and girls varsity basketball coach Darius Schaffer.

Schaffer has been with the district since 2007 and has served as both a teacher and a coach throughout his employment at the district.

He replaces Dennis Antonelli, who left the district for a principal job at Port Clinton Middle School.

Schaffer’s replacement is Nathan Nemire, who previously served as a math teacher for Huron High School.
