Perkins Schools Close Due to Bus Driver Shortage

On Friday, Perkins Local Schools Students had their second day off of schools this week. But unlike on Tuesday, weather was not the cause. It was due to a staffing shortage in the transportation department.

Perkins remains on of the few districts in our area to have students go in-person five-days. Sources tell Huron Insider that there has been large numbers of staff and students quarantined. According to the district’s website, between Monday, November 30 and Friday, December 4, 13 Perkins staff members or students tested positive for COVID-19.
