Sandusky City Schools searching for new board member

SANDUSKY – The Sandusky City Schools Board of Education is searching for an individual to fill a vacancy on the Board.

The position was previously held by Brigitte Green-Churchwell, who resigned from the Board on June 28 after nearly ten years on the Board. In her resignation, Churchwell stated that she was resigning for both professional and family reasons.

The new member will serve on the board until December 31, 2023. For the two years after 2023, the position will be filled by an individual elected by the public in November 2023.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have been a resident of the city of Sandusky for at least 30 days, and a registered voter for at least 30 days.

Interested applicants should have their applications returned to the administration office at 407 Decatur Street or email it to boardvacancy@scs-k12.net by 12PM on July 11. Along with their applications, applicants are recommended to include letters of interest and recommendation.
