Mary ‘Chris’ Metzger

Chris Metzger, age 70, passed peacefully Friday, December 4, 2020 at The Meadows. 

Chris was born on January 2, 1950 in Fremont.  She was a 1968 graduate of Huron High School.  After graduation, Chris attended Stautzenberger Business College in Toledo and went on to work for the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington D.C. in the clerical division.  To be closer to family Chris moved to Huron.  While living in Huron, Chris worked at Lawsons, Prepared Foods, and Parkview.   She loved helping others before herself, especially her sons.  She was generous to a fault.  The Meadows employees and residents enjoyed her wit and camaraderie.  Chris spent many years as a band parent for the Huron Tiger marching band.

Chris is survived by her brother Bill (Carol) Scott, Huron, her two sons Bobby Metzger, and Michael (Lisa Bilger) Metzger, Sandusky, and nieces Amy (Sam) Jeremay, Milan, and Emily (Andrew) Marvin, Lakewood.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harland and Georgianna Scott, and the father of her children, Robert Metzger.
