November 2020 Election Candidates and Issues

Below is a list of the Candidates and Issues that Huron voters will be voting on. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3. In Person Absentee voting begins on Tuesday, October 6 at the Erie County Board of Elections Offices (2900 Columbus Ave, Room 101, Sandusky, OH 44870). Hours can be found at https://www.boe.ohio.gov/erie/election-info/early-voting-hours/ . Out Person Absentee ballots will began being sent out on Tuesday, October 6. They must be dropped by November 3 at 7:30PM at the drop box outside of the in the foyer of Erie County Board of Elections Offices (2900 Columbus Ave, Room 101, Sandusky, OH 44870).

Issue #17 Erie County Health Department Proposed Tax Levy

A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Erie County Health Department for the purpose of providing for the current operating expenses of the Erie County General Health District to carry out its health programs at a rate not exceeding 0.5 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.05 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 2021, first due in calendar year 2022.

Issue #18 Erie County Proposed Tax Levy

A renewal of 0.50 mill of an existing levy and an increase of 0.25 mill, to constitute a tax for the benefit of Erie County for the purpose of providing or maintaining senior citizens services or facilities at a rate not exceeding 0.75 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.075 for each one hundred dollars in valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 2021, first due in calendar year 2022.
