According to the report, prior to the crash, police received a call about a male that appeared to be intoxicated riding a motorcycle in the area.

Following the crash, according to the report, Arvin couldn’t provide information about the crash to police, but did admit to having 3-4 alcoholic drinks that night. The report states that he appeared to have bloodshot eyes. Due to Arvin’s statements and appearance, police requested a blood sample; however, he refused to provide a blood sample for a test, the report states.

Arvin was cited for OVI refusal (M1) and no M/C endorsement (MM), due to his motorcycle endorsement expiring in 2021. He has had two prior OVI refusals in the past 20 years.

Arvin was transported to Firelands Regional Medical Center by the Sandusky Fire Department for suspected serious injuries.
