Sandusky Middle School student arrested after allegedly having a knife in school

SANDUSKY – A Sandusky Middle School student was arrested and charged with a felony Monday, after she was allegedly found with a knife in the school.

According to a report from the Sandusky Police Department, another student reported to the principal that the student told her that she had a knife with her. The assistant principal and school resource officer then searched the student’s bag and located knife in a pocket, the report states.

The student claimed, according to the report, that she didn’t know she still had the knife in her bag, but did previously have it in there incase she was walking around and there was trouble.

The student was charged with illegal conveyance of deadly weapon in school safety zone (F5) and transported to the Erie County Juvenile Justice Center.
