Body of Milan man found in Tiffin

TIFFIN – The body of Joseph Collingsworth, 35, of Milan, was located on the banks of the Sandusky River in Tiffin on Thursday morning.

Collingsworth was reported missing earlier in the morning. According to police, at around 3AM, he had left his girlfriend’s home in Tiffin without any shoes and said he was going on a walk.

The Tiffin Police Department and Seneca County Sheriff’s Office then conducted a search Thursday morning, which located Collingsworth. Drones were used during the search.

The case remains under investigation, and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is investigating the scene.
