In final game of regular season, Huron boys defeat Willard 61-55

HURON – In their final game of the regular season, the Huron Tigers boys basketball team defeated the Willard Crimson Flashes 61-55.

Willard finished the first quarter with a two point lead. That quarter finished with a score of 13-11. By the second quarter, Huron finished ahead with a score of 28-22. Huron remained ahead in the third quarter with a score of 42-33.

The Tigers finished their regular season with an 18-2 record. They were the Sandusky Bay Conference champions.

The night was also senior night. Huron’s senior’s are #3 Mathew Witherow, #4 Tait Fischer, #12 J.T. Murray, #13 Marc Hurst, #21 Tommy Siegenthaler, and #22 Joey Schade.

Huron is scheduled to play the Vermilion Sailors in the first round of the post-season tournament. The Tigers previously defeated the Sailors earlier in the season. That game is scheduled to be played on Tuesday, February 22 at 5:30PM.
