Some Driver Licenses, Identification Cards and Vehicle Registrations Expiration Dates Extended

Due to the ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic, Governor Mike DeWine has signed Ohio House Bill 404, which extends the expiration date of some driver licenses, identification cards, and vehicle registrations. Now, if a customer’s expiration date on their driver licenses, identification cards, or vehicle registrations is between March 9, 2020, to April 1, 2021, the expiration date has been automatically extended and will remain valid until July 1, 2021.

Also the Ohio BMV is now allowing people to purchase a temporary tag for their car, renew their vehicle registration, order new license plates, check their driving record, and more online at OPlates.com. If someone must visit a location, the Ohio BMV strongly encourages them to use theĀ Get in Line, OnlineĀ virtual queuing system at on their website.
