Nine new COVID-19 deaths in Erie County

SANDUSKY – From January 23 to January 29 in Erie County, there were 357 new cases of COVID-19 and nine new COVID-19 deaths.

19,855 people have now tested positive for COVID-19 in Erie County.

295 people have now died from COVID-19 in Erie County.

23 people are currently being treated for COVID-19 at Firelands Regional Medical Center. 10 of those people are unvaccinated. 1,651 people have now been hospitalized for COVID-19 in Erie County.

45,176 or 60.83% of people in Erie County have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. 42,508 or 57.24% of people in Erie County have now been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. 23,389 people in Erie County have also received their COVID-19 booster shot.
