Man allegedly struck a man with bat during altercation about vehicle collision

SANDUSKY – A man was arrested and charged with a felony after he allegedly struck a man with a baseball bat during an altercation about a vehicle collision.

According to a report from the Sandusky Police Department, police were called to a Milan Road house Monday night for a report of a disturbance in the driveway. When police arrived, they spoke to the complainant.

According to the report, the complainant told police that his neighbor backed into his car in their shared driveway. He said that a verbal altercation then began between the two. He said that another man, who came from his neighbor’s house, began arguing with him and eventually struck him in the face with a baseball bat. He said that that man then left the area in a car.

The report states that the complainant had bruising around his right eye near his nose and was bleeding profusely from the nose area. He was later transported to Firelands Regional Medical Center by Sandusky Fire.

Police later identified the man with the baseball bat as Dominique Morris, 27. He was charged with Felonious Assault (F2).

According to the report, police arrested Morris when it was learned to be at the Probation Office at Sandusky Municipal Court. When he was arrested, he was found with a Marijuana cigarette.
