Local Highway Construction for the Week of November 23

Here is a look at construction projects that are anticipated to impact highways in Erie, Huron, Lorain, Ottawa, Sandusky, and Seneca Counties.

Erie County

U.S. 6, between Berlin Road and Lincoln Avenue, will have single lane closures for roadway improvements. Crews will finish stamping crosswalks and begin temporary striping. Estimated completion: November 2020

U.S. 6 through the city of Sandusky, from Venice Road to east of Remington Avenue, will be reduced to one lane of traffic for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers to complete casting adjustments and striping. Estimated completion: November 2020

Huron County

State Route 18, from just east of U.S. 20 to the Lorain County line, will have single lane closures for a crack sealing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers when needed. Estimated completion: November 2020

Lorain County

State Route 2, between Baumhart Road and Route 58, will have single lane closures for full depth concrete pavement repairs.

U.S. 20, between Stoney Ridge Road and Lear Nagle Road, will have one lane of traffic maintained in each direction.

U.S. 6, between Washington Avenue and Arizona Avenue, will have daily lane closures as needed to complete work. Vehicular traffic has returned to its pre-construction pattern. Estimated completion: November 2020

U.S. 20, between Stoney Ridge Road and Lear Nagle Road, will have one lane of traffic maintained in each direction.

State Route 254 in the city of Avon, between Garden Drive the west corporation limit, and between Nagle Road and the Cuyahoga County line, will have single lane closures for a resurfacing project. Crews will be performing grading, restoration, and cleanup work. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Estimated completion: November 2020

Ottawa County

State Route 51, between Rice Street and State Route 105, over the Portage River, may experience lane restrictions for finish work. Expected completion: December

State Route 163, between State Route 269 and Faythe Drive, Port Clinton, will experience lane restrictions for resurfacing through November. Short term width restrictions may be announced.

Sandusky County

U.S. Route 20, between U.S. Route 6 and Woodland Avenue, Fremont/Clyde, may experience temporary moving lane restrictions for finish work. Estimated completion: Friday, November 20.

U.S. Route 20, between State Route 101 and Township Road 270, Clyde, work will resume in spring 2021. Estimated completion: June 2021.

Seneca County

Seneca County currently has no active projects.
