Six charged after man shot and killed at Kalahari employee housing

SANDUSKY – Six individuals have been charged after a man was shot and killed at Kalahari employee housing early Monday morning, according to the Perkins Township Police Department.

Police responded to the housing complex, which is located at a former hotel on Milan Road, for a report of an assault. When police arrived, they found Dontre Ravon Tate, 24, with one gun shot wound. Tate was pronounced dead on scene.

Through an investigation, detectives discovered that three suspects were involved. Detectives were able to determine that the three suspects involved in the shooting might be in the Toledo area. Detectives reached out to the Toledo Police Department Gang Unit, who was able to locate all three suspects and the vehicle they left the scene in.

Those suspects are Quinton Cangelo, 22; Daquan D. Brown, 19; Delonnie C Brown, 26. All three are charged with Aggravated Burglary (F1). Delonnie is also charged with Aggravated Murder (F1).

Through interviews and further investigation, officers and detectives believed that some of the witnesses had tampered with evidence.

Sofia Alayza, 20, and Jems Vasquez, 20, are charged with Tampering with Evidence (F3). Grims Vasquez, 20, is charged with Complicity Tampering with Evidence (F3).
