3,504 People Cited for Failing to Wear a Safety Belt During 6 State Trooper Project

3,504 people in Ohio were citied for failing to wear a seat belt during a 6 State Trooper Project. The 6 State Trooper Project is a partnership between the Indiana State Police, Kentucky State Police, Michigan State Police, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Pennsylvania State Police and the West Virginia State Police.

Their most recent project went from Monday, November 9 at 12:01AM through Monday, November 16 at 11:59PM. It was designed to remind people that each time they get in a vehicle they wear a safety belt, if available. During the project, 3,504 people in Ohio were cited with failing to wear an available safety belt. Additionally, 36 people were cited for child safety seat violations.
