Huron teen injured following crash in Groton Township

CASTALIA – An 18-year-old Huron woman was hospitalized Friday evening following a crash on Portland Road in Groton Township.

According to a report from the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, the vehicle was traveling east bound on Portland Road, near State Route 4, when the driver failed to maintain control of her vehicle and ran off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle then struck a telephone pole and rolled multiple times.

The driver was transported to Firelands Regional Medical Center. She was cited for failure To control.
