Janice Klenk

Janice Meredith (Kleinhans) Klenk, 95, residing in Sandusky, passed away Friday afternoon, December 3, 2021 at her home.

Janice was born on September 23, 1926 in Port Clinton, OH to the late Ivan C. and Eva (McRitchie) Kleinhans.

Janice was a registered nurse at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton and also volunteered at Firelands Hospital for over 30 years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She was an avid Cleveland baseball and football fan.

Janice is survived by her daughters, Jennifer (Rene) Miller of Sandusky and Samantha Ries of High Ridge, MO; sons, John Klenk III of Sandusky, Martin (Donna) Klenk of Berlin Heights, Daniel Klenk and Mark Klenk both of Sandusky; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, James I. Kleinhans and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Janice is preceded in death by her husband, John M. Klenk in 2008; her daughter, Karen Boules and brother, Harry Kleinhans.

Friends may call on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 12:00 pm until the time of memorial services at 1:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Rev. Dr. Eric Bodenstab will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
