Race Baker named 2021 Trooper of the Year of Sandusky Post

SANDUSKY – Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Race Baker has been selected the 2021 Trooper of the Year at the Sandusky Post.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, fellow officers stationed at Sandusky chose Trooper Baker, 37, based on leadership abilities, professional ethics, courteous treatment of others, enthusiastic work attitude, and cooperation with supervisors, peers, and the public.

Trooper Baker is now in contention for the District and State Trooper of the Year Award.

Trooper Baker joined the Highway Patrol in 2014. He was selected as the Lisbon Post Trooper of the Year in 2018 and the Sandusky Post Trooper of the Year in 2019.

Trooper Baker is originally from Orrville, Ohio and a graduate of Orrville High School.
