Timothy Collins

Timothy P. Collins, 87, passed away on the evening of Saturday, November 27, 2021, one day prior to his 57th wedding anniversary. He was surrounded by family.

Timothy was born March 5, 1934, in Henry County, Ohio to the late Paul A. and Marie (Dietrick) Collins. He was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Fremont, OH and later attended Bowling Green State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

Timothy was a United States Army veteran serving from 1957-1959. After his service, he worked for the Department of Defense as an internal auditor for the US Army Audit Agency in Washington D.C. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Huron, and the Association of Government Accountants.

Timothy is survived by his wife, Betsy; daughter, Sheila A. Collins of Rockville, MD; sons, Michael J. (Jean) Collins of Charleston, SC, and Christopher J. Collins of Sheffield Lake, OH; as well as his granddaughter, Kate Collins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dennis A. Collins, Patrick J. Collins, and Justin O. Collins; sisters, Mary C. (Sister Mary Timothy Collins), Joan M. Collins, and Kathleen Durnwald.

Private services will be held at a later date.
