Kalahari employee accused of looking through guest’s purse

SANDUSKY – The Erie County Sheriff’s Office responded to Kalahari Resort Monday afternoon for a report of an employee that was looking through a purse.

According to a report from the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, a man claimed that he returned to his room and noticed an employee standing over a purse that was on a table. The man said that the employee then immediately returned the wallet to the purse and said he was attempting to place an item in the purse for the convenience of the guests. The man said that he then stepped out of the room and contacted security.

Kalahari security told the Erie County Sheriff’s Office said that both their human resources department and security staff began an internal investigation and the employee was relieved from his duties.

Huron Insider reached out to Kalahari Resorts for a comment on the incident, they did not responded.
