Perkins High School closes Friday morning following bomb threat

SANDUSKY – Perkins High School sent students and staff home early on Friday morning following a bomb threat.

According to a post on the Perkins High School Facebook page, the threat was received at around 7:45AM Friday. Soon after, student drivers were released. The remainder of the students were evacuated to the Perkins High School gymnasium. Those students could have been picked up by their parents or guardians or be brought home by a bus.

Perkins Township Police did a search of the Perkins High School building with a bomb sniffing dog and no bomb was found. They will continue to investigate the threat.

Furry Elementary, Meadowlawn Intermediate, and Briar Middle School remained opened on Friday.
