Early voting begins in Erie County

SANDUSKY – Early voting for the November 2 general election began Tuesday in Erie County.

If you are an Erie County voter and would like to vote early, here are your options.

In Person Early Voting

In person absentee voting takes place at the Erie County Board of Elections office. Times in person absentee voting are below.

  • Tuesday, October 5 to Friday, October 8 from 8AM to 5PM
  • Tuesday, October 12 to Friday, October 15 from 8AM to 5PM
  • Monday, October 18 to Friday, October 22 from 8AM to 5PM
  • Monday, October 25 to Friday, October 29 from 8AM to 7PM
  • Saturday, October 30 from 8AM to 4PM
  • Sunday, October 31 from 1PM to 5PM
  • Monday, November 1 from 8AM to 2PM

Absentee Ballot

Absentee ballots can be requested by Ohio voters. First a voter has to fill out an absentee ballot request form and sent it to their board of elections. In Erie County that is 2900 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870. They will then receive a ballot in the mail from their county board of elections. After they fill out their ballot, they can either turn it into their board of elections or mail it to their board of elections. If they choose to mail it, it must be postmarked no later than the day before Election Day and received by the board of elections no later than 10 days after the election.
