Governor DeWine announces incentive program to get youth and young adults vaccinated for COVID-19

COLUMBUS – Governor Mike DeWine announced Thursday a new program to get youth and young adults vaccinated for COVID-19. The program is called Vax-2-School.

The program will give Ohioans ages 12 to 25 who are vaccinated a chance to win 50 $10,000 scholarships and five $100,000 scholarships to an Ohio college or university or career or technical education.

Governor DeWine’s office says that more details will be released soon about the plan.

The Vax-2-School program is similar to the Vax-a-Million program, which took place that summer. That program gave five Ohioans 12 to 17 years old who a four-year scholarship to any State of Ohio university, and five Ohioans 18 and older one million dollars.
