205 new cases of COVID-19 in Erie County in past week; half of Erie County now fully vaccinated

SANDUSKY – Since August 31 in Erie County, there were 205 new cases of COVID-19 and 22 new COVID-19 hospitalizations. Also, half of Erie County’s population is now fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

9,460 people have now tested positive for COVID-19 in Erie County.

218 people have now died from COVID-19 in Erie County. There were no new COVID-19 deaths this week in Erie County.

24 people are currently being treated for COVID-19 at Firelands Regional Medical Center. 19 of those people are unvaccinated. 912 people have now been hospitalized for COVID-19 in Erie County.

39,953 or 53.80% of people in Erie County have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. 37,510 or 50.51% of people in Erie County have now been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
