Local Highway Construction for the Week of June 21

North Central Ohio – Here is a look at construction projects that are anticipated to impact highways in Erie, Huron, Lorain, Ottawa, Sandusky, and Seneca Counties on the week of June 14.

Erie County

Erie County currently has no active projects.

Huron County

Huron County currently has no active projects.

Lorain County

State Route 2 east of Baumhart Road to east of SR 58 will have single lane closures for a resurfacing project. There will also be nightly ramp closures from 9:00PM until 6:00AM. Detours will be posted with portable message boards.

SR 2 eastbound and westbound will have nightly lane closures beginning Monday, June 21 through Saturday, June 26 from 7:00PM till 6:00AM. One lane of traffic will be closed in both directions for asphalt concrete paving and/or repairs. Traffic will be maintained in the adjacent lane.

U.S. 20 between Stoney Ridge Road and Lear Nagle Road will have one lane of traffic maintained in each direction as needed for reconstruction and resurfacing work.

U.S. 20 at the structures over Grafton Road and SR 57 will have lane closures for bridge repairs. Traffic will be maintained eastbound and westbound with portable concrete barriers or construction barrels. The lane closures may occur concurrently or alternately depending on project work.

Ottawa County

State Route 579 between the Wood County line and State Route 2 in Williston will continue to experience lane restrictions for resurfacing. The project is expected to be completed in in June.

Sandusky County

Eastbound U.S. Route 20 between State Street and US 6 in Fremont will be closed for a slope repair. The project is expected to be completed in August. The detour is to go from US 20 to SR 590 to US 6 to US 20

Westbound U.S. Route 6/20 between SR 19 and US 20 in Fremont will be reduced to one lane for a slope repair beginning Wednesday, June 16. The project is expected to be completed in August.

U.S. Route 20, between Hamer St. and SR 101 in Clyde will be closed for railroad repairs beginning Monday, June 21 for five days. Work will be performed by railroad. The detour is to go from US 6 to SR 2 to SR 4

State Route 19, between Maple Ln. and Academy St. in Green Springs is closed for a culvert replacement. The project is expected to be completed in August. The detour is to go from SR 101 to SR 510 to US 20

State Route 53, between Schwartz Rd. and the Ohio Turnpike in Fremont may experience lane restrictions for Turnpike work. The project is expected to be completed in September.

State Route 635, between CR 13 and CR 23 in Jackson Township is closed for a culvert repair. The project is expected to be completed on Wednesday, June 23. The detour is to go from US 6 to SR 53 to SR 12.

Seneca County

U.S. Route 23 between Wyandot Co. and Fostoria will experience lane restrictions for resurfacing and guardrail. The project is expected to be completed in October.

State Route 162, between N. City Rd. 27 and N. Twp. Rd. 81, Republic, is closed for culvert replacement. The project is expected to be completed on Friday, June 18. The detour is to go from SR 19 to US 224 to SR 4.
