John Macioce

John Patrick Macioce, 53, of Sandusky, formerly of Huron, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Stein Hospice, Sandusky.

John was born March 14, 1968 in Cleveland and was raised and lived in Huron for many years. He graduated from Huron High School in 1986.

He was self-employed, owning Canine Management Services in Huron, training police dogs and providing obedience training. After many years working with dogs, he followed another passion of his and graduated from Pennsylvania Culinary School in 2002. He worked as a chef before becoming an amazing stay-at-home dad.

He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Huron. John loved spending time with his children, being outdoors and camping. He was great with animals and always had a special bond with his dogs. John was a fantastic chef and loved to cook for his family. John will be remembered not only for making everyone laugh but for his deep love and care of all those around him.

He is survived by his wife, Toni (Netherland), married to for 16 years; his son Luca; his two daughters, Marisa and Gianna; his mother, Doris Macioce; two sisters, Karen (John) West of Huron, and Patty Macioce of Huron; two brothers, Mark (Kate) Macioce of Florida, and Paul (Tikky) Macioce of Wisconsin; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Macioce, and brother, David Macioce.

Friends may call Wednesday, June 9th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main Street, Huron. Funeral mass will be Thursday, June 10th at 10:30 a.m. at St Peter Catholic Church, 430 Main Street, Huron, with Father Jeffrey McBeth officiating.

Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
