Huron Tiger track athletes compete at state

PICKERINGTON – 11 Huron Tiger track athletes competed in eight events at the OHSAA State Championship meet, on Friday and Saturday. Prelims took place on Friday, and finals took place on Saturday.

Maggie Golling, Jaden Carey, CeAujanay Grant, and Isabella Cozzie finished fifth in the Girls 4×100 Meter Dash Finals, with a time of 49.56. The finished sixth in prelims, with a time of 49.96.

Richie Delaney, Ben Buathier, Conner Schaeffer, and Zach Weyer finished 15th in the Boys 4×200 Meter Relay Prelims, with a time of 1:31.66. They did not qualify for finals.

Maggie Golling, Hayden Roshong, CeAujanay Grant, and Isabella Cozzie finished 10th in the Girls 4×200 Meter Relay Prelims, with a time of 1:46.07. They did not qualify for finals.

Richie Delaney, Zach Weyer, Conner Schaeffer, and Jacob Eck finished fourth in the Boys 4×400 Meter Relay Finals, with a time of 3:24.07. They finished fifth in prelims, with a time of 3:24.53.

Isabella Cozzie finished 13th in the Girls 100 Meter Dash Prelims, with a time of 12.83. Cozzie also finished 10th in the Girls 200 Meter Dash Prelims, with a time of 25.99. Cozzie did not qualify for finals.

Kennedy Schlessman finished tenth in the Girls 800 Meter Run Finals, with a time of 2:21.06. There were no prelims for the 800.

Jaden Carey finished 11th in the Girls Long Jump Finals, with a score of 16’9″. There were no prelims for Long Jump.
