36 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed and 12 new hospitalizations in Erie County

COLUMBUS and SANDUSKY – Since Friday in Erie County, 36 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed. That brings the total number of confirmed cases to 5,192. There were no new deaths in the past week. 12 more people were hospitalized from COVID-19. 790 people have now been hospitalized from COVID-19 at Firelands Regional Medical Center. As of Friday, 12 people are currently being treated at Firelands Regional Medical Center.

Since Thursday in the State of Ohio, 732 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed. That brings the total number of confirmed cases to 913,431. 105 people were hospitalized. 58,501 people have now been hospitalized from COVID-19 in Ohio. 45,889 people begun the vaccination process. 5,124,522 people in Ohio or 43.84% of Ohio’s population have now begun the vaccination process. 34,042 people also finished the vaccination process. 4,490,684 people or 38.42% of Ohio’s population have now finished the vaccination process. Since Tuesday, 81 Ohioans died from COVID-19. 19,709 Ohioans have now died from COVID-19.
