56 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed and 20 new hospitalizations in Erie County

COLUMBUS and SANDUSKY – Since Friday in Erie County, 56 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed. That brings the total number of confirmed cases to 5,102. There were no new deaths in the past week. 20 more people were hospitalized from COVID-19. 768 people have now been hospitalized from COVID-19 at Firelands Regional Medical Center. As of Friday, 16 people are currently being treated at Firelands Regional Medical Center. 114 people are also currently under quarantine or isolation.

Since Thursday in the State of Ohio, 1,080 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed. That brings the total number of confirmed cases to 908,008. 83 people were hospitalized. 57,201 people have now been hospitalized from COVID-19 in Ohio. 19,553 people begun the vaccination process. 4,804,893 people in Ohio or 41.11% of Ohio’s population have now begun the vaccination process. 54,895 people also finished the vaccination process. 4,059,347 people or 34.73% of Ohio’s population have now finished the vaccination process. Since Tuesday, 84 Ohioans died from COVID-19. 19,428 Ohioans have now died from COVID-19.
