Huron Tiger boys finish first, girls finish second at Edison Invitational

MILAN – At Saturday’s Edison Invitational, the Huron Tiger boys finished first with 129.5 points, and the girls finished second with 99.5 points. This was the first time the Huron boys have won the Edison Invitational in 15 years.

Below are some highlights of the meet

In the Boys 100 Meter Dash; Norwalk’s Mason Hainline finished first with a time of 11.64, Huron’s Connor Schaeffer finished second with a time of 11.65, and Edison’s Jacob Stoll finished third with a time of 11.69.

In the Girls 100 Meter Dash; Margaretta’s Kenna Stimmel finished first with a time of 12.42, Norwalk’s Madison Shutt finished second with a time of 13.02, and Monroeville’s Stacey Legg finished third with a time of 13.39.

In the Boys 200 Meter Dash; Hopewell-Loudon’s Sherron Jones finished first with a time of 23.17, Norwalk’s Mason Hainline finished second with a time of 23.42, and Huron’s Richard Delaney finished third with a time of 23.64.

In the Girls 200 Meter Dash; Huron’s Isabella Cozzie finished first with a time of 26.46, Margaretta’s Macyn Phillips finished second with a time of 27.05, and Wynford’s Chloe Kaple finished third with a time of 27.60.

In the Boys 400 Meter Dash; Huron’s Jacob Eck finished first with a time of 52.05, Huron’s Zach Weyer finished second with a time of 52.67, and Norwalk’s Mason Hainline finished third with a time of 53.24.

In the Girls 400 Meter Dash; Margaretta’s Macyn Phillips finished first with a time of 1:00.22, St. Paul’s Sarah Matlack finished second with a time of 1:01.54, and Western Reserve’s Aliyah Perez finished third with a time of 1:02.37.

In the Boys 800 Meter Run; St. Mary’s Mason Blank finished first with a time of 2:06.37, Edison’s Cole Weilnau finished second with a time of 2:07.12, and Vermilion’s Jayden Beardon finished third with a time of 2:08.12.

In the Girls 800 Meter Run; Margaretta’s Olivia Saylor finished first with a time of 2:27.75, Western Reserve’s Aliyah Perez finished second with a time of 2:28.62, and Hopewell-Loudon’s Alivia Roerdink finished third with a time of 2:30.48.

In the Boys 1600 Meter Run; St. Mary’s Mason Blank finished first with a time of 4:39.37, Norwalk’s Kyler Kromer finished second with a time of 4:39.79, and Vermilion’s Luke See finished third with a time of 4:40.80.

In the Girls 1600 Meter Run, Margaretta’s Olivia Saylor finished first with a time of 5:30.66, Huron’s Kennedy Schlessman finished second with a time of 5:32.32, and Norwalk’s Joscey Thomas finished third with a time of 5:42.44.

In the Boys 3200 Meter Run; Hopewell-Loudon’s Trey Masterson finished first with a time of 10:11.59, Huron’s Elijah Routh finished second with a time of 10:12.79, and Vermilion’s Luke See finished third with a time of 10:20.82.

In the Girls 3200 Meter Run; Edison’s Abby Lesniak finished first with a time of 11:17.12, Huron’s Kennedy Schlessman finished second with a time of 11:49.00, and St. Paul’s Madelyn Mccall finished third with a time of 12:47.00.

In the Boys 110 Meter Hurdles; Vermilion’s Ayden Bath finished first with a time of 15.27, Edison’s Garrett Scott finished second with a time of 15.87, and Western Reserve’s Jacob Jarret finished third with a time of 16.99.

In the Girls 100 Meter Hurdles; Margaretta’s Kenna Stimmel finished first with a time of 15.69, Edison’s Tori Keyser finished second with a time of 17.30, and Margaretta’s Anna Gasser finished third with a time of 17.41.

In the Boys 300 Meter Hurdles; Edison’s Garrett Scott finished first with a time of 41.94, Vermilion’s Ayden Bath finished second with a time of 42.10, and Margaretta’s Cayden Orshoski finished third with a time of 43.99.

In the Girls 300 Meter Hurdles; New Riegel’s Katelyn Arbogast finished first with a time of 50.71, Margaretta’s Anna Gasser finished second with a time of 51.50, and Hopewell-Loudon’s Hope Kreais finished third with a time of 51.64.

In the Boys 4×100 Meter Relay; Huron finished first with a time of 44.87, Edison finished second with a time of 46.06, and Norwalk finished third with a time of 46.09.

In the Girls 4×100 Meter Relay; Margaretta finished first with a time of 50.91, Huron finished second with a time of 51.48, and Norwalk finished third with a time of 53.93.

In the Boys 4×200 Meter Relay; Huron finished first with a time of 1:33.09, Edison finished second with a time of 1:35.57, and Western Reserve finished third with a time of 1:39.60.

In the Girls 4×200 Meter Relay; Edison finished first with a time of 1:49.25, Edison finished second with a time of 1:55.54, and Hopewell-Loudon finished third with a time of 1:56.37.

In the Boys 4×400 Meter Relay; Huron finished first with a time of 3:31.93, Edison finished second with a time of 3:43.91, and Hopewell-Loudon finished third with a time of 3:44.32.

In the Girls 4×400 Meter Relay; Huron finished first with a time of 4:20.42, Margaretta finished second with a time of 4:21.65, and Hopewell-Loudon finished third with a time of 4:22.37.

In the Boys 4×800 Meter Relay; Huron finished first with a time of 8:25.09, Vermilion finished second with a time of 8:48.03, and St. Paul finished third with a time of 8:52.31.

In the Girls 4×800 Meter Relay; Edison finished first with a time of 10:24.03, Hopewell-Loudon finished second with a time of 10:40.33, and Norwalk finished third with a time of 10:46.46.

In the Boys High Jump, Edison’s Dylan Odell finished first with 6’0”, Vermilion’s Ayden Bath finished second with 6’0”, and Huron’s Sean Kaminski finished third with 5’10”.

In the Girls High Jump; St. Mary’s Hailey Bahnsen finished first with 5’1″, Huron’s Jaden Carey finished second with 5’0”, and Monroeville’s Reece Kluding finished third with 4’10″.

In the Boys Long Jump; St. Mary’s Cole Kromer finished first with 19’7″, Edison’s Dylan Odell finished second with 18’1”, and St. Paul’s Sam Scavuzzo finished third with 17’1″.

In the Girls Long Jump; Margaretta’s Jana Berg finished first with 14’8″, Huron’s Jaden Carey finished second with 14’4″, and Huron’s Emily Franks finished third with 14’1″.

In the Boys Pole Vault, Norwalk’s Carson Bauman finished first with 10′6″, Hopewell-Loudon’s Lance Crawford finished second with 10’0″, and Edison’s James Kryger finished third with 10’0″.

In the Girls Pole Vault, Margaretta’s Kenna Stimmel finished first with 14′0″, Hopewell-Loudon’s Taylor Leiter finished second with 10′0″, and St. Mary’s Mazzara Lynch finished third with 8′6″. Stimmel set a new state pole vault record at the meet. The previous state record was 13’6″.

In the Boys Discus; Hopewell-Loudon’s Ryan Cook finished first with 135’4″, Margaretta’s J.T. Patrick finished second with 130’10″, and St. Joseph’s Caleb Reed finished third with 128’11″.

In the Girls Discus; Margaretta’s Jennifer Patrick finished first with 111’11″, Monroeville’s Braylee Wise finished second with 104’9″, and Vermilion’s Megan Rini finished third with 96’9″.

In the Boys Shot Put; Margaretta’s Michael Wadsworth finished first with 45’9.5″, Hopewell-Loudon’s Ryan Cook finished second with 44’2.5″, and Margaretta’s Andrew Harper finished third with 43’6″.

In the Girls Shot Put; Margaretta’s Jennifer Patrick finished first with 34’0″, Monroeville’s Braylee Wise Lily Spieldenner finished second with 3’11″, and St. Paul’s Megan Leibold finished third with 31’1.5″.
