1,415 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed and 151 new hospitalizations in Ohio

COLUMBUS and SANDUSKY – In the past week in Erie County, 86 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed. That brings the total number of confirmed cases to 4,911. 13 more people were hospitalized from COVID-19. 703 people have now been hospitalized from COVID-19 at Firelands Regional Medical Center. There were no new deaths in the past week. As of Friday, 21 people are currently being treated at Firelands Regional Medical Center. 172 people are also currently under quarantine or isolation.

Since Thursday in the State of Ohio, 1,415 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed. That brings the total number of confirmed cases to 885,361. 151 people were hospitalized. 54,787 people have now been hospitalized from COVID-19 in Ohio. 49,154 people begun the vaccination process. 4,302,570 people in Ohio or 36.81% of Ohio’s population have now begun the vaccination process. 96,149 people also finished the vaccination process. 2,943,985 people or 25.19% of Ohio’s population have now finished the vaccination process. Since Tuesday, 74 Ohioans died from COVID-19. 18,991 Ohioans have now died from COVID-19.
