160 people died from COVID-19 in Ohio since Thursday

Columbus, OH – Since Monday in the State of Ohio, 1,019 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed. The total number of confirmed cases is now 838,235. 132 people were hospitalized. 51,097 people have now been hospitalized from COVID-19 in Ohio. 38,306 people begun the vaccination process. 2,035,203 people in Ohio or 17.41% of Ohio’s population have now begun the vaccination process. 30,448 people also finished the vaccination process. 1,165,232 people or 9.97% of Ohio’s population have now finished the vaccination process. Since Thursday, 160 people died from COVID-19. 17,662 people have now died from COVID-19.

It was also announced Tuesday, that the statewide average of cases per 100,000 is 179.6. Cases per 100,000 will now be released every Thursday. Governor Mike DeWine announced last week that when Ohio gets down to 50 cases per 100,000 people for two weeks, all health orders will be lifted.
