Edison varsity girls basketball coach steps down to take new job in Willard

MILAN – Edison Varsity Girls Basketball Coach Ryan Kurt has announced that he will be leaving the district as both a coach and intervention specialist.

Kurt has accepted a position at Willard City Schools as the assistant principal at Willard High School.

During Kurt’s four years coaching the Chargers, the team had a 37-52 overall record.

Kurt was previously a middle school boys coach at Edison and a junior varsity coach for the Perkins Pirates and Margaretta Polar Bears.

The Edison Athletic Department says they would thank Kurt for his dedication to the program and will begin the search for a new coach immediately.
