Nick Obrenovich

Nick J. Obrenovich “Farmer Gone Wild”, 92, of Collins, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Cleveland Clinic after a brief illness.

Nick was born on July 19, 1930 in Norwalk to the late George and Stana (Djekic) Obrenovich.

He graduated from Milan High Class of 1948. He was self employed as a farmer, but was employed at Harrison Products and Celotex in earlier years. Nick was a member of Farm Bureau. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, tractor pulling, eating at the Woolly Bear, and working on tractors and cars. A special note was made by his wife that he NEVER took a vacation.

Nick is survived by his wife, Margaret, whom he married on August 18, 1950. He is also survived by daughters, Gail Parker, of Wakeman, and Kay (Darren) Kardotzke, of Collins; son, David Obrenovich, of Sandusky; 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Stanley (Betty) Obrenovich; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Obrenovich; and son, Brian Obrenovich, in infancy.

Friends may call on Friday, January 20 from 3-5 P.M. at Collins UMC, 4290 Hartland Center Rd., Collins. Private burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Berlin Heights, at a later date.
