Perkins Township Police Chief passes away

SANDUSKY – Perkins Township Police Chief Vince Donald has passed away, his department announced late Friday night.

According the Perkins Township Police Department’s post on the social media, they said that their chief passed away Friday evening from “what appears to be of natural causes.”

“Chief Donald had great love and respect for our community, served exceptionally well throughout his career, and he will be sadly missed by the department. It is no secret that he loved his department, his co-workers, and law enforcement agencies that he has worked so closely with all throughout his career,” the Police Department wrote. “Our thoughts and prayers are with Vince’s family and friends as we mourn this tragic loss. Further details concerning funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.”
