72 New Cases of COVID-19 Confirmed in Erie County; Over Over 9,000 New Cases of COVID-19 Confirmed in Ohio

Since Friday in Erie County, 169 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed. That brings the total number of confirmed cases to 2,535. Eight more people were hospitalized. 38 people are currently being hospitalized for COVID-19 at Firelands. 352 total people have been hospitalized. 443 people are also currently under quarantine or isolation.

Since Sunday in the State of Ohio, 9,026 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed. That brings the total number of confirmed cases to 458,993. Thousands of additional cases are pending review. Governor Mike DeWine said that many of these backlogged cases will be released tomorrow. Because of this cases will see a large spike tomorrow. 62 people died from COVID-19. 7,022 people have now died of COVID-19 in Ohio. 336 people were also hospitalized.
