Woman allegedly assaults three others at marina

HURON – A 31-year-old Lakewood woman was arrested Wednesday evening after she allegedly assaulted three other individuals at a marina.

According to a report from the Huron Police Department, police responded to Huron Street for a report of an intoxicated woman claiming that she was assaulted.

At the scene, according to the report, the woman, Deirdre Loosli, first told police that she was attacked on a sailboat by her friend and two other men, after she was accused of being homophobic. Soon after, Loosli changed her story claimed that she was assaulted in the marina parking lot for no reason. The report states that Loosli visible scrapes on her knees and elbows, but did not have any marks on her face, where she claimed to have been punched at.

While police were speaking with Loosli, another officer responded to the marina parking lot, after the other three individuals called police. They claimed that Loosli had assaulted them, the report states.

According to the report, they told police that Loosli began to hit her friend after accusing her of “talking trash.” The other woman then began to fight back, and the men had to separate them. Loosli then walked away.

Loosli was charged with two counts of assault, a second-degree misdemeanor.
