UPDATED: Power restored to most of Erie County

ERIE COUNTY – After two days of power outages due to Winter Storm Elliott, power has been restored to most FirstEnergy customers in Erie County.

Outages were reported in communities throughout Erie County. At one point on Friday afternoon, over 8,000 households were without power.

To report a power outage or downed wires, call FirstEnergy at 1-888-544-4877. The public is reminded to stay more than 30 feet away from downed power lines. They are also asked to unplug appliances like refrigerators and freezers, and sensitive electronic equipment like televisions and computers, so that they avoid risking being overload when power is restored.
