CELINA, Ohio – Wright State University’s Lake Campus kicked off a new community event this weekend.

Their inaugural wine festival provided a casual evening of wine tastings with a scenic lakeside view of Grand Lake St. Marys. Several area wineries took part, bringing some of their most popular bottles to share with visitors. Each participant received ten tasting tickets, a keepsake wine tasting glass, light snacks, and raffle and giveaway entries.

“At Lake Campus, we really want to emphasize that we are a community hub. Not just for our students, but also for the local community. So we collaborated with our alumni association to organize this event to bring former Lakers back here.

Samantha Johnson, director of campus engagement and events at Wright State’s Lake Campus, stated that the event aims to introduce newcomers to the campus in a unique setting.

Based on the strong interest demonstrated through ticket sales, the campus intends to make this an annual event.
