Three teenagers are facing charges in connection with what Wisconsin police describe as a “wild west-style shootout” that killed an aspiring nurse and a teenage boy outside a strip mall party.

Earl Williams III, 17, faces charges of felony murder, attempted first-degree intentional homicide, and possession of a machine gun. Jardan Anderson, 18, and Isiah Daniels, 17, are each charged with harboring or aiding a felon.

The incident occurred on June 20 in Milwaukee, but prosecutors recently released a criminal complaint that described a chaotic shooting in which 110 bullets were fired from 11 different firearms — all in 20 seconds, according to a probable cause arrest affidavit obtained by Law & Crime.

Around 11 p.m. that night, officers responded to 8223 W. Brown Deer Rd. for a shooting. Officers discovered Bre’nee Veasley, 19, with a gunshot wound to her abdomen. First responders attempted to save her life but later pronounced her dead. Another victim, 17-year-old Kingston Liphford, was killed, and three others, ages 14, 15, and 17, were hit by gunfire, according to authorities.

Shots were found “clustered” in three different areas, “indicating a wild west-style shootout,” according to police. According to surveillance video, the first volley of shots was fired from an automatic weapon.

A witness who attended the party with Veasley stated that they went inside for about 20 minutes before walking out to the parking lot, where she noticed Daniels standing near a Chevrolet Malibu. She was speaking with him when she noticed a man in a ski mask holding a firearm.

The witness informed investigators that she asked the man to put the gun away because it was “scaring her.” Moments later, the masked person allegedly opened fire, sparking the shootout. The witness reportedly ducked under some cars and discovered Veasley had been shot.

Detectives spoke with Daniels, who stated that he arrived at the party with Williams and Anderson in Malibu. Daniels allegedly claimed Williams had a gun with a switch that turned a semi-automatic firearm into an automatic. Anderson also told detectives that they drove Williams away from the scene and then spray painted the Malibu “in order to avoid detection related to this shooting,” police wrote. Williams allegedly told his co-defendants that he opened fire because he thought there were rival gang members with guns in the parking lot.

17 days after the shooting, cops responded to a weapons call. A Nissan Maxima collided with a police car, and everyone inside got out and ran. Williams, the front passenger, was allegedly carrying a Glock 23 with a switch. According to police, 13 shots were fired from that weapon during the strip mall party shootout.

While police do not believe Williams fired the shots that killed Veasley, they claim he caused the death by opening fire and starting the shootout. Williams remains in Milwaukee County Jail on a $300,000 bond, while Daniels and Anderson appear to have bonded out.

According to a GoFundMe page, Veasley was planning to attend college to become a nurse.

“A 19-year-old with her entire life ahead of her. A college student. A nurse, taken the night before her first day of saving lives. A peacemaker. “A light in our family,” the fundraiser stated. “A 4.0 GPA throughout her academic career. She did everything right, and yet this city failed to protect her. Bre wasn’t on the streets. She was not in trouble. She was simply trying to enjoy her time away from school at a teen party. However, she never returned home due to fragile egos, poor conflict resolution, and unchecked violence.

Williams has a court date set for Monday, while Anderson is scheduled to appear on September 29. Daniels’ next court appearance is unclear.
