Traffic on U.S. 24 is moving again after a collision that stopped traffic in both directions in Ohio

CECIL, Ohio – On Tuesday morning, a crash temporarily closed U.S. 24 in Paulding County, Ohio, east of Fort Wayne.

The Ohio Department of Transportation reported at 11:30 a.m. that all lanes had reopened following the crash about an hour earlier.

It is unclear how many vehicles are involved or how many people were injured. WANE 15 received a photograph of a medical helicopter on the scene. Another image shows what appears to be a tanker off the side of the road, with smoke emanating from it.

The crash occurred approximately 10 miles east of the Allen County, Indiana-Ohio border.
