A vehicle recall in Lorain County has resulted in fewer public transit vehicles, potentially causing transportation delays, according to the county.
This comes just days after the county expanded the ridesharing service due to its success.
‘Unique and successful program:’ Lorain County extends Via LC ridesharing service.
The county announced a recall of the Via LC Fleet, a ridesharing service in Lorain County that launched last year to help fill the transportation gap.
As a temporary solution, Via LC will use different vehicles that may not carry the same branding as the vehicles that customers are accustomed to seeing and riding in.
Riders will be able to identify the temporary vehicles thanks to magnets or decals featuring the logo. Riders can still book and use the service, but they must plan ahead.
